According to each story, the Lakers would honor James if he stated a wish to move. The absence of movement is consistent with James’ claim that he is pleased in Los Angeles. Despite the head-to-head competition that defined a decade of NBA activity, James’ connection to Golden State makes sense for a variety of reasons.
