Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs was awarded the NFC Offensive Player of the Month in December and January. According to the NFL, Gibbs led the league with nine scrimmage touchdowns, led the NFC in scrimmage per yard, and topped all running backs in receiving yards. The 22-year-old is the sixth player in NFL history to score 21 touchdowns in his first two seasons, joining Barry Sanders, Gale Sayers, and Maurice Jones-Drew. Gibbs played in all 18 games in the 2024 season, scoring 16 touchdowns. He scored four touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, three of which came in the second half, to help the team win 31-9.
